So I have decide to start up an Artist of the Month award! This award will be given out every month to my favorite up and coming artist and will include a picture of their work and a short article. To enter you have at least one price of art in any subject (drama, writer,painting, singer, Ext.) and beat least 13 years old. Graffiti With A Message

The creator of this piece is a man by the name of Banksy. Banksy is a director, graffiti artist, painter, and political activist from Bristol, England. Out of all of these things, he is probably best known for his unique stenciling graffiti; however, he also creates other pieces that range from sculptures to YouTube videos intended to expose the truth of events in our society. Banksy is also known for his contempt towards the government for labeling graffiti as vandalism; he displays his art on a variety of public surfaces. Banksy’s pieces usually feature striking and humorous images with a message of mostly anti-war, anti-capitalist, or anti-establishment. His paintings are not just in England but also all over the world including a series in New Orleans, Louisiana painted in late August 2008, the third anniversary of hurricane Katrina. Some of his most popular works include...Bouquet Grenade in West Bank, Israel, Abe Lincoln in New Orleans, Louisiana, Laugh Now in Buenos Aries  Argentina, and Sweeping It under the Carpet in Chalk Farm, London, England. The Candle

For my first post I thought I'd start off one of my own creations. Yes I did take this, and as the caption says it is a picture of the inside of a candle warmer. Pretty neat huh?
